Dr. Sweeney completed his neurosurgical training at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Georgia from 1982 to 1988, including a year as a collative scientist at Yerkes Primate Center studying embryotic transplant techniques for Parkinson’s disease, achieving board certification in neurosurgery in 1990.
